Where are you located?
My studio is located at 50 Main Street, #3A in the heart of Historic Flemington. It is on the third floor of the same building as our retail stores The Corner and La Petite Ruelle. How convenient for me!
What’s the parking situation?
Parking is available in the large lot behind the building, accessible via Bloomfield Ave or Main Street. There is also street parking regularly available on Main Street and Bloomfield Ave.
How many outfits should I bring?
I highly reccomend bringing at least three tops. Once you’ve booked and paid your session fee, I’ll send over my Prep Guide which simply explains how to find the right types of clothes in your closet that will work best for picture day.
Do I need to wear pants?
Dungarees, pantaloons, overalls (bib down), swim trunks, kilts, jumpsuits and knickerbockers are all fine. Unfortuantely, cargo shorts are not allowed. Rules are rules.
I hate being photographed!
Same. There’s a small subset of people called “models” who like being photographed. Then there’s everyone else. My expertise is working with the latter group. I hope you can find comfort in knowing that everyone feels the same way!!
Will you retouch my photos?
Every photo you purchase gets the full pro retouching treatment. This includes (but is not limited to) light and color correction, skin tone, texture, blemish removal, hair, eyes, teeth and, everyone’s favorite: wrinkles!
Can I bring my partner/mom/cat to the session?
First off, yes, I'd love to meet your cat. I don't think they'll enjoy the confines of my studio though, if I'm being honest.
That being said, PLEASE bring a supporting partner, friend or family member. It makes the whole experience more fun and memorable, and it makes the photos even better!
Can I call my partner/mom/cat to help me pick my final photos?
If they're a FaceTime away and can pick up immediately, I won't stop you from asking a quick question. I do ask you limit your single FaceTime to less than two minutes.
Otherwise, you and I select the photos in my studio immediately following the session.
Can you fix my _____?
First off, nothing about you needs to be fixed! Seriously. You're perfect as is.
Second off, maybe! I’m glad to remove temporary issues. I won’t change the shape of your face, body or any of your facial features.
Can I bring props to my session?
Absolutely! Props can add a personal touch to your headshots, whether it’s your favorite book, a musical instrument, or even your pet iguana. Just give me a heads-up so I can prepare the studio for our special guests.
How long does a session last?
We’ll take our time to get those perfect shots without making you feel like you’re running a marathon. It’s more like a leisurely stroll… with a camera.
Sometimes it’s a half hour, sometimes it’s an hour and a half. We’ll get a better idea during our pre-shoot consult and I’ll make sure to give you my best guess at that time.
Is there a best time of day for my session?
Magic happens throughout the day in my studio, thanks to some nifty lighting. But if you're a morning person or find your spark later in the day, let me know. We'll work with your rhythm to capture you at your best.
I’m not sure how to pose, will you guide me?
Of course!
Think of me as the Yoda of posing—I'll guide you to find your best angles with wisdom and ease. Awkward, you will not look!
What if I need to reschedule?
Life happens! If you need to reschedule, just give me a heads-up at least 48 hours in advance. We’ll find a new time that works for both of us, no stress.
Do you schedule photo sessions on weekends?
It may take a little longer to get on the schedule but we'll make it work!
